An amazing resource for you.
COVID-19 has impacted nearly every facet of our daily lives. Fear and anxiety about a new disease and what may happen can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions. Public health actions, such as social distancing, have made people feel isolated, which can increase those emotions. Changes within our friend groups, families, schools, and communities have posed additional challenges, and many of us have struggled to navigate. Helping a child cope with grief and loss in a healthy way will make them, their friends and families, and our community stronger. Virtually connecting with others to process this shared experience within a safe environment is an amazing start.
We invite individuals ages 5-21 to join our licensed therapists in a virtual support group focused around experiences of loss during COVID-19. Participants will be organized into groups of their peers based on age and type(s) of loss experienced.
Special thanks to the Staunton Farm Foundation for their generous support of these virtual support groups.
Our team is here as a resource for children and adolescents ages 5-21 so they can get back to feeling amazing. Our licensed therapists and Certified Nurse Practitioner work closely with each client and their family to develop skills to manage mood, thinking, and behaviors – making the move towards resiliency and healing, and becoming happier and healthier at home, school, and in the community.
